“My son and I enjoyed a unique adventure tailored to our hiking interests and desire to avoid groups. Dan Jones is an imaginative guide who filled our days with spectacular views as we climbed to heights I could not have managed without his expertise and the plucky llamas. All in all, we got terrific value for a moderate price.”

“A nice peaceful way to spend a few days of easy walking amongst the alpine flowers with the llamas carrying the weight.”

My adventure with Dan, his son and my friend Kristin began on one of those Colorado summer mornings when the sky is so blue you think it cannot be real. We hiked along the Continental Divide Trail, each of us with our personal llama. The meals were delicious, the tents and sleeping bags cozy and the views magnificent. My co-workers now call me “Llama Mama” and I hope my llama trek will be an annual event.

We are grandparents who have enjoyed two wonderful treks with our grandchildren guided by Dan and Spruce Ridge Llamas. There are many ways families can create memories long to be treasured but few can top this.
Our last trek along the continental divide to a beautiful campsite on Silver Creek was truly outstanding. Never were the alpine wild flowers more beautiful and the grandchildren reveled in the campsite beside the tumbling mountain brook.
